Min (Egyptian mnw) is an ancient Egyptian god whose cult originated in the predynastic period (4th millennium BCE). Modern Qift, somewhat north of Luxor (ancient Thebes) and located on the east bank of the Nile, is the site of ancient Gebtu, called Koptos (Coptos) by the Greeks and by the Coptics themselves, Kebto or Keft.
