The hourglass copperhead snake skin pattern distinguishes it from other snakes. Adult cottonmouths are dark colored, ranging from olive-brown to black. My girl shows way more copperhead, as were his male shows much more cottonmouth.- apparently wide verity among litter mates is the norm. In nature, hybrids between different snake species are rare, probably because different snakes have different habits, diets, and/or methods of hunting. A Cottonmouth snake is the only snake that is aquatic by nature and grows as long as 180 cm.
